Electrical Equipment

GSI partners with a wide range of global manufacturers of electrical power distribution equipment. On projects from simple warning labels and nameplates to multi-colored polycarbonate display panels, GSI works closely with our clients’ designers, engineers, supply chain experts and production and quality personnel. We provide design assistance, determine the appropriate materials and adhesives for all applications, determine the proper testing and final approval. Our objective is always to add value - from parts cost through cost-in-use.

Case Study:

GSI worked together with one of the world’s leading makers of power distribution equipment to reduce their costs and improve efficiencies in their plants. GSI teams visited over 30 plants, auditing label, nameplate and display overlay usage and application. GSI’s recommendations resulted in reduced duplication of designs, significantly less label and nameplate SKU’s, and dramatically improved purchasing and releasing efficiencies. GSI’s plan, based on years of experience, led to many changes in the ways that the company’s products were received, stored and applied on the production line. According to our very satisfied customer, the savings realized amounted to well over $1 million dollars - on Class C items.

Case Study:

A well known producer of power handling equipment targeted for use in harsh conditions asked GSI to examine their entire labeling program. Working together, we designed new labels that performed much more reliably. We jointly initiated a Kanban system to make sure our parts were where they were needed, when they were needed, at plants in both the U.S. and Mexico. We did this while reducing costs along the way. GSI proudly made it through our customer’s very tough supplier certification process in near record time.
